The Enola Gay took off August 6,1945. They nick named it The Manhattan Project. A hangar located 1oo miles west of Salt Lake City is where it was built. Jeppson, Parson, and Tibbets were the 3 main engeneers of the project. Tibbet flew the plane over Hiroshima. The Enola Gay was something to be proud of because, how it was built, the pilots that flew and armed it, and how they prepared the day it took off.

The pilots on board the Enola Gay were very brave. Morris R. Jeppson was one of the weaponeers for the Enola Gay(Brown). Captain William S. Parson armed the bomb to the plane(Brown). Cornel Paul Tibbets was the main pilot who flew and dropped the bomb in the Enola Gay(Tibbets). These men were the people who put this project together(Brown). Experts state, “… August 6, 1945, “little boy” introduced the world to nuclear warfare,” (Enola Gay weaponeer felt ’no joy’ over Hiroshima, 1).

The building of the Enola Gay
The building of the Enola Gay was very hard working and costly. Its nickname was (The Manhattan Project’s Enola Gay Hangar). The total cost of this project was two billion dollars, its nickname was the Manhattan project(J.J.). It was built in a hangar located 100 miles west of Salt Lake City, Utah(The Manhattan Project’s Enola Gay Hangar).The Wendover Air Force Base is where it took place(The Manhattan Project’s Enola Gay Hangar). Researchers find, “ the operation to deploy the “little boy” began at Wendover Air Force Base, the remote facility 100 miles west of Salt Lake City, Utah” (The Manhattan Project). The Wendover Air Force Base is were it took place.

Day of take off
The day the Enola Gay took off was a proud but yet sadend day. Enola Gay took off August 6, 1945(Brown). Pilots and engeneers that built it were proud of what they had built(J.J.). At the runway of the hangar west of Salt Lake City, was where the Enola Gay took off(J.J.). It took offm at percilly 2:45 A.M.(Brown). reporters exclame, " At 2:45 A.M. the Enola Gay and its cargo took off on its way to Hiroshima..." ( Enola Gay weaponeer felt 'no joy' over Hiroshima, 1).
